The first property in a portfolio sale changes ownership. The listed property Am Markt 5 in the city center of Castrop was brokered by RealDeal to a private investor from Bochum. The historic building was constructed in 1915 and served as a fashion department store until the late 90s. Currently, the tenant mix consists of a textile retailer, an advertising agency and apartments. Real estate consultant Marius Dick of RealDeal commented on the brokerage as follows: “With such a venerable property, it’s always nice to see that the future of the property is secured for the long term. With the brokerage to a resident investor, we can assume that the enhancement of downtown Castrop will continue in the long term.”
